Review of The Messenger (2009) by Christian P — 25 Jul 2010
Orem Moverman's debut (the guy who wrote I'm Not There) is just a magnificent war drama about the war deaths. It is well directed and acted. Woody Harrelson could have won the Oscar if Inglorious Basterds hadn't come out in 2009 (because Christoph Waltz was unbeatable).
And Ben Foster, yes, the archangel from crappy X-Men: The Last Stand, makes a wonderful performance by the way. I think it is a new discovery, as nobody knew him as a big actor. In conclusion, go and watch The Messenger.
