Review of The Messenger (2009) by Edwin P — 27 Jul 2010
A war movie, without a war. Sounds familiar but hasn't been done as quite as good as this. It is emotion charged and features some powerful and impressive performances. The reactions of each family is so interesting you almost just want to see more (Buscemi was brilliant in his cameo).
The film does fizzles out towards the end but it's hard fault otherwise.
