Review of The Messenger (2009) by Heidi G — 03 Apr 2011
The subject matter is very heavy but it is handled brilliantly by the amazing talent of Ben Foster and Woody Harrelson. These 2 make a great team, and even though most of the characters in the movie are greiving or tortured souls, it's refreshing to see a friendship develop that feels genuine.
Some of the emotional moments are very moving, with special mention to Steve Buscemi for his performance of a father who has lost his son to the war.
