Review of The Message (1976) by James B — 04 Jun 2007
A film that depicts the rise of Islam and the life of Muhammad. Interestingly enough, what is essentially a biopic of the Prophet never shows him, in accordance with Islamic custom. There are some excellent scenes though, and Anthony Quinn shines as Hamza.
Even if you know nothing about Islam, the themes present in this film are timeless. Enjoyable.
