Review of The Merry Gentleman (2008) by Eddadrama — 16 Oct 2009
What we have here is quite a good storyline brewing. Keaton (Kills for a living and is quite regretful about it) is seen considering committing suicide by Kelly MacDonald by chance. The acting from these two were solid.
My problem with this movie is that it felt overdrawn, stale, and was otherwise a chore to watch. In short, the action scenes were sub-par, with too much time between each action scene to keep my interest.
I'm big on drama, but this story lacked there for me as well. This story could have taken notes from "State of Play" or something. I won't be lookin' at this movie again in the near future that's for sure.
