Review of The Merry Gentleman (2008) by Jenni M — 27 Oct 2009
I'm really starting to think that Michael Keaton is not getting roles because of his skills, but simply because he feels he doesn't need to do many roles. Or at least thats what I am hoping. This is a small wonderful little film about two people who are so strange and so different with souls that are so similar.
Michael Keaton not only stars in this film, but directs it as well. Its really to bad this film didn't get released into many theaters, and most people will miss out on this gem, because I think Keaton deserves a best actor nomination, and with the Academy Awards now having 10 best picture nominees, this would fall right in, and it probably would make my top 5 even without the expansion of the best picture category.
