Don't be fooled by the marketing, the star here is Ralph Fiennes and he proves it in every scene he shares with Taylor-Joy who completely pales in his presence.
His character is a mad genius, and not just about food. To over-explain would turn me into one of the characters this film criticizes and that would be the cherry on top of the cake for the dark satire of its premise, so the less you know the better and I'll save myself the embarrassment. The Menu was an unexpected but pleasant surprise for the end of the year.
