Review of The Men Who Stare at Goats (2009) by Darby R — 04 Sep 2011
Huh? After about an hour, I think one of the main characters summerizes the movie after attacks from enemy. "We are on a mission, but we do not know what that mission is..." or where the destination is located of the travels.
So, there was a mission, but they do not know what it is, or precisely where they are.. .. they are under attack, but they have no weapons? Thank God, shortly after this stunning revealing moment,a goat or a character is introduced/location is found, etc.
After this point, the ending is predictable. There were some interesting hippie philosophies (I have no idea how to implement, nor do I understand how Hippies could be soldiers!! Personally, I think soldier lifestyle is in conflict with the peaceful "Ohm" tee shirt that the leader wears.
) Anyway, um., Hidden in Spanish subtitles was an extra bit of dialogue while they lay in hospital style beds? (?!) So, that's interesting! I enjoy the fact that this movie (and others) contain Spanish subtitles.
It makes my life interesting. We are trying to learn Spanish. Thank you.
