Review of The Men Who Stare at Goats (2009) by Benjamin C — 17 Apr 2012
Although it had an all-star cast and a humorous premise, the script was like a rambling joke without a punchline. The funniest moment was when the burnt-out Bill Django (played by Jeff Bridges) stumbles out of the office saying he's going to get some ice cream; I guess that speaks for itself.
This film had all the potential to be a contemporary American retelling of Gulliver at Laputa, but it ended up relying more on slapstick antics than well-crafted satire.
