Review of The Memory Keeper's Daughter (2008) by Sv G — 22 Aug 2008
As TV movies go, this by far was one of the better ones I've seen. Having read the book and enjoyed, I was reluctant - but I was impressed. The story of a couple who in 1964 have twins. One is a boy and healthy and the other a girl with Down's Syndrome who he gives away, but tells his wife that she died.
As years go by the memory of the daughter that should have been a part of their lives instead tears apart their lives. The daughter is raised by the nurse that helped to deliver her and she lives through the years fearful that she may someday lose her.
Very endearing film with great performances.
