I just love the cute little girl in this movie. Very charming. Great scenes with her and Jason Statham. Liked the fake underwater world they created, but it was not the most realistic special effects, and obviously not a great film.
It seems more directed at an Asian audience, which I also found charming. It was easy to suspend my judgement on any bad dialogue or cheesiness in the movie. I was surprised it was directed by Jon Turtletaub.
I don't usually like B-movies but I like this one. Really feels like the campiness is intentional, and not over the top like Sharknado or some crap like that. I don't have enough friends to watch movies like that and laugh, I would just get annoyed at how unbelievably stupid it is.
