It’s a giant shark movie. It’s exactly what you’d expect. The acting is weird. It’s not really ‘bad’, but it’s not good either. The script is all over the place. The movie takes it self too seriously.
If this were more of a self aware comedy like the trailers suggested, it would be much better. It had self aware moments, but it didn’t take as far as it should’ve. I also feel that an R-rating would’ve help it as well.
The visuals are surprisingly impressive. The shark looks pretty good. I will say that I was never bored at any point. I’ll give it that.
