I personally thought this was better than jaws in many regards. I will say its good, I think its worth the ticket price, and its definitely not a shot by shot remake of jaws. The biggest flaw is the obvious cgi in the creature design.

.. But it does its job. If you think someone is going to die off, chances are they are. It follows a lot of standard tropes in the genre... Minor spoiler alert, the black guy doesn't die. If you liked Jaws, there is a good chance you will like this.
