Far from the series of books... But pretty decent as a film despite its best efforts to get bums on Chinese cinema seats. (location changed from California coast to China and the Tanakas from the books have been replaced with Chinese characters).
Cant help but think the scene outside a San Francisco Giants game from the book would have been great to see on-screen. As a non-fan of Jason Statham, I actually thought he was decent in this.
