Despite all the negative reviews I went to see the movie "The Meg" and I'm happy I did! Did I expect a classic like Jaws? NO, I expected a fun roller coaster ride at the movie theater and that's exactly what was delivered.

This movie was really fun! I'm a big Jason Statham fan, love his action films, so I was really happy from the start of the movie to the finish as everything was firing on all cylinders. They made good use of Statham, with all the fun one liners and great action sequences and stunts you'd expect, (he wasn't just a wasted celebrity cameo), the shark was impressive - I was worried there would be too much CG and it would look more like a cartoon, but they did a great job of making the CG seemless, looks like some real props were involved too, the action was exciting, fun and unpredictable as well (given the material) with some good jump scares, highly recommend it!
