Review of The Medallion (2003) by Mad M — 29 Jun 2009
Claire Forlani stars as the romantic style co-worker, who's performance comes off as slightly painful. The dinner 'fun' scene is just horrible to sit through. You just. want. it. to. end.
The humor is kind of what I imagine the pink panther movies are like, extremely stilted slapstick (e.g. the relationship with the cop from Interpol). Huge sigh.
Chemistry between Jackie Chan and Forlani is nonexistent, script was horrifically bad. Kissing scenes between Chan and Forlani made me want to throw up - just so, so wrong.
Child actor didn't seem particularly convincing (which is difficult to find but obviously not impossible) and the ending was weird and unexplained and just.. ugh ugh.
The only part that might have been okay was seeing Jackie Chan with cool supernatural powers with awesome special effects. This film didn't even have that.
Massive. Snore.
Don't waste your time.
