Review of The Medallion (2003) by Jack Y — 18 Jul 2008
Badly edited but fairly good Chan outing, with Evans providing comic relief. One of the few times Chans films have dealt with the supernatural, and he finally gets to snog the leading lady (Forlani, with her normal Twickenham accent).
Slow-mo sequences not the best, but these seem to be favoured of late by action director Sammo Hung. Held together by Chans charm (he is showing his age somewhat), but story is otherwise jumpy with all the footage cut from it.
