Review of The Mechanic (2011) by Carlos A — 20 Jan 2012
Jason Statham plays a paid assassin, so ruthless that after killing his victims (generally important and well known people) he retires to his home to relax after a hard day of work. He does not care who he kills, he just does it because the film wants us to believe that his character is the top son-of-a-bitch of the whole world.
The mechanic, a nickname that is not fully explained in the movie, works on fixing a classic car after eliminating the victims he is told to. Little does he know that he is working in vain. This is a film that bas been done for the sake of action scenes.
There is no plot behind it. Just a ruthless killer and his victims. Just another useless film.
