Review of The Mechanic (2011) by Calvin M — 01 Apr 2013

I saw the movie tonite. I must say that I really enjoyed it a lot! I did not realize it was a remake of a 1972 Charles Bronson film, directed by Michael Winner. I had to research it online to figure it out.

This new remake, starring Jason Statham & Ben Foster and directed by Simon West, kicked ass! The action scenes were great! It also has an intriguing plot that'll keep you guessing until the end. Jason & Ben did an awesome job in this movie. Simon West did a great job of directing it. I would say this is his best film since Con-Air, starring Nicholas Cage, about 15 years ago.

I must nominate this movie as the first good movie of the year. If you're a big fan action movies, then you'll like this one, even if you already seen the 1972 movie.
