Review of The Mechanic (2011) by Danny S — 20 Jul 2011
"The Mechanic" 10 Scale Rating: 6.0 (Above Average) ...
I once laughed when I heard that Jason Statham was going to do action films. I had only seen him in Guy Ritchie movies and just couldn't see it. I have to admit, he does a good job.
When his mentor and boss is killed by the assassin's guild that he works for, Arthur Bishop (Statham) starts to suspect that he may be next. With his mentor's son as a sidekick (Ben Foster), Bishop starts prepping them both for the ultimate hit.
A re-make of a Charles Bronson movie, "The Mechanic" is solid but is a little too hollow to be considered good. Decent ending though.
