I was expecting the film to be better. I didn't see the original Mechanic, but I heard the original is better than this remake. I was expecting better from Simon West. The film lacks a certain style.
If Luc Besson or Walter Hill would have directed the film, it would have been much better. I didn't like the ending. The film reminded me of movies like The Professional and Payback. Acting wise, Ben Foster steals the film from Statham.
