Review of The Mechanic (2011) by Mloy X — 10 Feb 2012

If they would have put as much thought and effort into the script and the choreographing some really killer action sequences as they did with the casting of "Sarah" (the prostitute) and the T&A scenes, this may have been an awesome action-packed flick but it was mediocre at best.

The film had the a perfect formula with the ubber talented Donald Sutherland, who IMHO was the best part of the film and a very credible actor like Ben Foster plus a legit action star like Jason Statham, how could you possibly screw that up? But apparently you can, by making the film long angst but short on (duh) action and what little stunts there were was same old, unoriginal, rehashed crap similar to sequences from better films.

Overall the film was very disappointing and I really wanted to like it.............
