Review of The Mechanic (2011) by Dylan G — 13 Jan 2014
This is a film that I was hesitant to approach after enjoying the original Charles Bronson film as much as I did, but I have to say that it's not as bad as I kind of expected it to be, just more of a by the numbers action flick.
The original had a little more...soul? This just feels like Statham takes on a apprentice and has to deal with a rival, where the original film had more of a conflicted father/son vibe going, which was more intriguing to me plot-wise.
Rental, unless you're just a huge fan of either of the leads.
