This movie is a violent, occasionally gruesome action movie that should satisfy any action-movie needs you have. I only rate it low because I felt that the script had potential to be much greater than it is.
The idea of a "mechanic" who has to reconcile his violent career with his own life and morality could have been very interesting. Instead, The Mechanic goes straight for predictable action.
That's not bad. It just could have been more. And considering that this is a re-make, I felt like they should have taken the time to develop the plot further.
