Review of The Maze Runner (2014) by Ollie W — 11 Sep 2015
I was expecting to see a good film. What I saw was a great film. It's a YA but they did something different... They actually took out the love triangle. I know, it's drastic. Bad sarcasm aside, it is refreshing to see a YA film that doesn't have a love triangle.
I haven't read the book so I can't comment on comparison there, but I think it is a very good, interesting film.
My only issues with it are a) it seems like they could have built something to escape the maze, and b) I think the movie could have ended about 5 minutes earlier, however it is of course understandable why it ended as it did, as that it has to keep in lign with the books if it wants to succeed.
