Review of The Maze Runner (2014) by Sierra C — 04 Apr 2016

Intriguing from the opening scene, The Maze Runner is thrilling, mysterious, has great action, and is well acted! There is enough tension, and has a great sense of urgency which makes it move along at a good pace! The plot makes you interested because they're stuck in a maze, and you wanna see how and if they get out! But once you start watching, you also become intrigued by the mystery of why they're in the maze! All the main characters give great performances! It's also well written! Another highlight is the direction and production value, as well as the tone, because it is surprisingly and pleasantly dark! Even if you didn't love it, compared to other YA franchises, it's amazing! I definitely agree that it's Lord of the Flies meets Lost! I bet this does the book more than enough justice!
