Review of The Maze Runner (2014) by Lisa A — 26 Feb 2015
The Maze Runner: This action adventure film, based on a novel I had never heard of, suffers from an identity complex - it's not sure if it wants to be a Hunger Games knockoff, a Matrix knockoff or a twisted Goonies knockoff.
But regardless, it IS a knockoff, with a nonsensical plot that feels like it was created by third graders. Still, if mindless action and total suspension of disbelief is your thing, then this film is for you.
