Review of The Maze Runner (2014) by Pedro V — 31 Mar 2015
The book is A LOT better and there are some changes here that I had trouble accepting, but overall The Maze Runner is a fun, action-packed adventure that feels fresher when compared to the other YA movie adaptations.
Kaya Scodelario's character is widely underdeveloped (which they're gonna delve into more in the sequel, I know, I know, but COME ON. Give her at least a little bit of an arc here!). Still, I enjoyed it a lot.
The acting is very good and the special effects are superb. Certainly an excellent first movie by director Wes Ball.
