Review of The Maze Runner (2014) by Amara N — 19 May 2015
Impressively fast-paced and well made, never bores the audience and holds a dam of built-up mysterious tension throughout. The characters are excellently portrayed, and the plot line does not entirely divert from the book. Kaya Scoldelario, in my opinion, seemed to be taking a leaf out of Kristen Stewart's book, because her acting not was not up-to-par with the other roles. But Dylan O Brien was unbelievably impressive starring as Thomas, the movie's protagonist.
The problem with the Maze Runner is that it is along the similar lines of Hunger Games and Divergent, and the movie did not fully express it's originality.
