Review of The Maze Runner (2014) by Alex T — 30 Jun 2015
It seems like we have done this before, with franchises like 'The Hunger Games' and 'Divergent' being dystopian action-adventures adapted from best selling books. They know who their audiences are, and although I am probably at the upper end of that age bracket nowadays, I still find them enjoyable.
The Maze Runner is interesting enough, and although cliched in many regards and a little predictable, does find a strong enough ending to keep us gripped for a second instalment. Plus, it rakes in the money, so they must be doing something right.
