Review of The Maze Runner (2014) by Pedro M — 01 Apr 2016
When I watched the trailer, I was really curious about the story. Being a book lover, I got the whole trilogy, so I'd read the book before watching the film. The book became one of my favorites ever, so my expectations for the movie were really high.
But the whole time I was thinking: "what, this part wasn't supposed to be like this" "what, this is not even in the book" "wait, they cut out important stuff that was actually relevant for the story".
In the end, I asked myself: "did they even read the book?" The movie by itself can be considered awesome, it has a lot of action and it's well acted, but for those who are familiar with the novel by James Dashner, it can get frustrating when you notice how much different it is from it's source material.
