Review of The Matrix Revolutions (2003) by Scott B — 17 Dec 2011
The first Matrix is great because it left doors open. You could think about the world the Wachowski Brothers created long after you saw it. And to some(ME!) it made the movie more enjoyable each time you watched it. Well the second movie slammed a few doors shut and replaced some of the thought provoking ideas for CGI fest action scenes. While most of the scenes are impressively crafted it was a major let down. Then the third move came out and practically buried the entire franchise by itself. Talking about this movie is a waste of time. I felt depressed for a week after I saw this, like someone just kicked my dog or something.
P.S. It was really cool that all three movies ended with Rage Against The Machine playing during the end credits. Oh wait they even stripped the audience of that pleasure, yay!
