Review of The Matrix Revolutions (2003) by Donovan S — 01 Nov 2012
Highly misunderstood. I don't think people dislike this movie for the right reasons. The matrix trilogy is as to be looked at as one epic love story, whose primary objective is to illustrate the power of human emotion.
To look at the Matrix films and judge them individually is like judging the LOTR Trilogy as such. Stupid. The Wachowski brothers did an awesome job with the plot and, stunned audiences back in 2003 with their use of CGI.
The Battle for Zion was probably one of the most epic battles I have ever witnessed. All this being said, I disliked the Christ reference at the end... it was corny, boring, and somewhat cliche. And the final fight scene had too much flying.
It reminded me of Dragonball-Z... not that I dislike DBZ, I just don't think the world is ready for a live action rendition without the kamehameha blast.
