Review of The Matrix Reloaded (2003) by Steven C — 06 Apr 2012
I have always enjoyed the sequel to "The Matrix", and I say 'sequel' because I consider "The Matrix Reloaded" and "The Matrix Revolutions" as one film, one cannot be complete without the other.
But in terms of this sequel (technically part one of the two part sequel, though), "The Matrix Reloaded" is a solid film. It has bigger action, groundbreaking special effects, an expanded mythology that is challenging and rewarding to understand and fun tongue and cheek performances.
Like any of the installments in this series, they can certainly get goofy, but I think I like this one the best because it does take itself a tad more serious.
