The Wachowski brothers award fans after four years of waiting prior to the original with a fine sequel; the problem is the original was so good that it makes the Matrix Reloaded look more average than it actually is.

Keanu Reeves reprises his role as Neo the freedom fighter; the poor bloke however is in a little bit of a pickle at the moment. When news breaks to Morpheus (Laurence Fishbourne) and co. that a quarter of a million deadly robots are heading to Zion in preparation to try and destroy the resistance, arch Matrix enemy Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving) has discovered how to duplicate himself. To layer the icing on the cake Neo is having premonitions of girlfriend Trinity (Carrie - Anne Moss) dying. The story also becomes more complex so that isn't an end to the plots and sub-plots.

The Matrix Reloaded, it is arguable, has finer choreography and cinematography within the fight scenes which are truly outstanding, in comparison to the 1999 Matrix.

However, although fight scenes maybe more impressive, the originality from the original and the tale behind the rise of Neo is superior to the more polished action sequences any day of the week.

To conclude briefly, brilliant original...good sequel.
