Review of The Matrix Reloaded (2003) by Parker S — 02 Jul 2012
While clearly not as original, and just plain not as good, The Matrix: Reloaded still benefits from more cool fight scenes. The story is less enthralling, and has some major plot holes. For example, isn't humanity supposed to be on the brink of extinction, with only little pockets of resistance cautiously freeing important humans rather than surviving by the thousands and partying a lot? It totally ruined the atmosphere and frankly made what else happened in the movie less important.
On the other hand, the Neo vs. 100 agent smiths fight scene, and several other instances, are really exciting and fun. Its not great, but you have to give it credit where its due, rather than incessantly comparing it to its monumental big brother.
