I still think they should have left it alone, as Matrix was a groundbreaking sci-fi whose effect and enjoyment could only have been diminished by making sequels. My enjoyment was marred by a distinctive "seen-it-all-before" feeling.
Not helped that the script tied itself into knots over its quasi-philosophical ramblings.
