Review of The Matrix Reloaded (2003) by Josh K — 17 May 2013
Sure this film is not as good as the first film, but it still stands as a worthy sequel that perfectly continues the story that the Wachowskis started in the first film. Much of the film focuses on the humans preparing for a war with the machines, while Neo, Morpheus and Trinity attempt to find a way to bring the war to an end before it begins.
As usual the special effects are fascinating, while the return of Hugo Weaving as the villainous Agent Smith is well done and surprising. The best part of the film is probably the highway chase, while this film also focuses a lot on the choice of fate.
The film ends with a terrific cliffhanger, setting up the story for the final entry, while also having us ask what will be delivered.
