Review of The Matrix (1999) by Zachary C — 07 Jul 2013

This movie is way overrated. I know I probably would have liked this as a kid, but now that I'm an adult I guess I found it to be quite boring as a matter of fact. The reason I watch movies like these is not for the special effects, but for the story and the action.

I really enjoyed the concept of the movie but I guess I just didn't like the execution of the story and it was very boring. And the action which I thought was going to make me want to take karate again did nothing except bore the crap out of me.

If there is one thing I can say about this movie that I liked it was the cinematography. When I watched this for the first time with some friends of mine one of my friends told me to really pay attention to the cinematography.

And I'll admit the movie was beautifully shot, but that doesn't make up for the fact that it was a huge borefest to me. Also Keanu Reeves sucks they could have chosen someone better for the lead role.
