Blue pill or Red pill? To choose the red pill will reveal to you the truth, but the blue pill? You can choose to stay in this dreamy, simulated world.

With this film there is no blue pill, only a red pill, and the red pill shows you the truth about this film: the truth? It is the one, possibly the only one to be the greatest sc-fi film ever made. Some people could also say that maybe Back to the future was the greatest, but did that film have awesome slow-motion fights that thoroughly entertained you? Did it have the most mind-bending questions that would actually make you wonder after you watched the movie? And did it have the most frikking awesome weapons of mass destruction? NO? Then the answer to all that is the MATRIX. The film combines beautiful effects with stylish martial arts action and an imaginative script made by the former 'Wachowski brothers' now Wachowski brother and sister, Larry Wachowski got a sex change a few years ago, now Lana Wachowski. Rumours were violently spreading as to whether Larry did get a sex change, but Andy denied the motion, it was not only until the preview for Cloud Atlas in which Andy and Lana Wachowski, along with Tom Tykwer who all directed the film did she reveal that she in fact did have a sex change. (Too bad, the 'Wachowski Brothers' sounded so catchy.).

Anyway, the film stars Keanu Reeves as Thomas Anderson, hacker name Neo, a programme who is revealed the truth about his home and that he may be the One ( The clue to his destiny's in the name)who can stop the war between Zion and the machines ( all will be explained later.) , Carrie-Anne Moss also stars as the sexy Trinity , Laurence Fishburne stars as the steady Morpheus and Hugo weaving stars as agent Smith, the Sentient computer programs, a virus used to terminate the real humans, 'Guardians' of the Matrix, destroying anything which may reveal the truth to the people of 'Earth.'.

Thomas Anderson AKA Neo is a computer programmer, who lives a secret life as a Hacker, Trinity contacts him through a computer and they finally meet at an all-out party, she informs him that a man named Morpheus can tell him the meaning of the "Matrix", a phrase that Anderson has heard of repeatedly online but he doesn't understand it. Three dark-suited agents led by agent Smith (Weaving) try to stop Neo at all cost so that he can not know the true meaning and purpose of the "Matrix." He meets Morpheus, he offers Neo a red pill and a Blue pill explaining that if he chooses the Red pill he cannot go back but if he chooses the Blue pill then he stays in the simulated world. He chooses the Red pill and wakes up weak, connected to wires and tubes and he discovers that Billions of people are wired as far as the eye can see. Morpheus tells Neo that it is the 21st century and that the humans have waged a war on the machines and Morpheus believes that he is the One to end it.

A beautiful piece of action, winner of many awards, too many to say but overall a winner of 26 awards including 4 Oscars, nominated for 7 Saturn awards, winner of 2 and nominated for 3 BAFTA awards, winner of 2 as well. Also winner for MTV movie award for best male performance and the Saturn award for best director. This is a great movie to see if you want to get seriously entertained and you want to see great FX and a mind-bending script imagined by the Directors, it's script truly is great with questions that make you think how the directors could come up with such an awesome concept, for example the scene when Neo meets the Oracle, she says "You don't need to worry about the vase." Neo replies "What vase?" he turns around and breaks a vase "That vase." That's not the mind-bending bit, it's when she says "The only thing you'll need to worry about if whether or not you would have still broken the vase if I hadn't said anything." Now that is something to wonder about, that question's been bothering me forever.
