Review of The Matrix (1999) by Nelson P — 16 Jul 2014
Ground breaking special effects, thought provoking Sci-Fi story, and all the latex sexiness you could ever ask for. The Matrix rewrote the rules of science fiction films, bringing memories of classics such as Blade Runner and Terminator to mind, all the while paving the way for it's own destiny as one of the best films in the genre's history.
Though many still don't agree with the direction the rest of the story was taken into with it's sequels, none will disagree that this was a serious shot in the arm for an over saturated genre of film that was losing it's edge.
