The story of the matrix is so real and so amazing, its future so possible. The fact that whole world is just a type virtual reality and with the technology advances of this era is certain that it will happen in a near future unless we changed this destiny.
The story is basically about Neo a world known hacker who is contacted by Morpheus to save the world from the machines and learns how the real world actually is...
More than the story the best asset of this movie are the special effects, the most known effect, bullet time is so immersive and amazing and with the music it makes it an amazing, one of a kind....
I definitely recommend this movie, I watched myself a couple times and will do it again if have to, the movie has aged really, most effects still look 2015 like effects or even better.
