Review of The Matador (2005) by Adam M — 17 Aug 2008
Pierce Brosnan ia brilliant in this black comedy about an unlikely meeting betwwen a tired hitman and a salesman. When salesman Danny, played by Greg Kinnear, takes a job in Mexico and meets Julian at a bar he doesn't realise what he might be getting himself into and by the time he does its to late and hitman Julian thinks he's found a friend for life as Danny finds it more difficult to get away from Julian.
This has some very funny moments as we see Julian showing Danny how easy a hit can be as well as his activities with drink and women. This has quite a touching ending to.A decent black comedy.
