Review of The Matador (2005) by James B — 21 Aug 2010
An interesting dark comedy with Pierce Brosnan and with an interesting story this film works. There's not a lot to say about the film its a bassically a simple story about a hitman who trys to leave the buisness.
There's lots to like here: The humour is a major thing its a dark sense but its well done and is actually well performed. Brosnan is able to play it so straight faced that you ACTUALLY BELIVE that when he says things like killing people can be fun you actually belive him. Then he laughs and you laugh but are nervious too. LOL.
Possibly the only low part of the film is the length its HONESTLY not long enough. its only like..an hour and a few minutes long (I THINK at MOST its an hour and a half) but its still TOO short. I think that the film could've been longer an possibly could've been even funnier. because they could throw in some more jokes.
All in ALL I liked the film and enjoy watching it. My only low is the length and felt it should be longer.
