Review of The Master of Disguise (2002) by Corey N — 12 Sep 2010
I admit that I am a big Dana Carvey fan. I loved his other movies, SNL skits and stand up comedy. But this movie falls flat as a good comedy. Basic plot is Carvey plays Pistachio Disguisey who comes from a long line of other Disguisey who are masters of disguise.
The story does not flow well. Some plot holes and jumping around the story that don't seem to fit. They seemed to rush many parts to make this movie fit in just over a hour film time. Carvey is funny most of the time.
He does impressions very well. The supporting cast are good as well. I did always get a good laugh with Brent Spiner villain moments of evil laughter were always ruined by a fart. That fart always seemed to kill his evil moment and he looked depressed after that.
There are some funny scenes in this but not enough to make this a good comedy. I would only suggest watching this if your a Dana Carvey Fan.
