This modern production of the legendary masked hero of California Zorro is a welcome updated image and a great swashbuckler filled with adventure, excitement and great sword fighting scenes. Some aspects of the storyline are quite clever in updating the character of Zorro for a modern blockbuster audience.

Banderas too is delightfully charismatic as the mysterious masked swashbuckler, and shares some great sexual tension with the beautiful Catherine Zeta-Jones, an added asset to the exciting tale which also happens to be one of the best elements of the Martin Campbell's film/.
