Review of The Mask (1994) by Suneel J — 14 Aug 2013
Jim Carrey in what may have been his best gig, other than "Liar Liar". He masters his role in the film with his incredible acting abilities in a way only he could accomplish. On another note, Cameron Diaz makes her splash into Hollywood in this film, mostly through her insanely stunning looks at the time.
Nonetheless, she does a solid job for a rookie and while surely make the guys happy. The film tends to be very goofy, but its all in the fun of the mood that is sets. It doesn't try to be a hard-core action flick or anything of the sort.
The plot is simple and everything just flows smoothly in an interpretable manner. The film crams a lot in for its short runtime, assisting in the madness of the story for a witty, entertaining experience.
