Review of The Martian (2015) by Peabarter — 16 Oct 2015
This is a rare movie for this day and age. It relies on a good story and acting to entertain rather than non-stop, over the top special effects. This is a movie about survival and problem solving. I enjoyed the scientific focus of the story of a man marooned on Mars and desperate to survive and be rescued.
I have always enjoyed Ridley Scott's movies and was excited to see this when I realized that he directed this. This is a 2 hr and 20 minute movie, but not once did I look at my watch. Matt Damon did a great job in the lead role.
