Review of The Martian (2015) by Jess_Hill — 01 Oct 2015
A magnificent and surprising film. The performances are nuanced, the storyline is utterly compelling and the script is superb. The cinematography is sublime, and seeing it in 3D was worth the extra cost, and it is this aspect of the film that elevates it to be a 'must see in the cinema' experience.
This is definitely a contender for best film of the year. 9.
