Review of The Mark of Zorro (1940) by Jeff L — 09 Jun 2007
For anybody thinking about watching the "colored" version of the film, don't even bother. Its horrible, as expected. Stick with the black and white version. As far as swashbuckling/adventure movies go, The Mark of Zorro is a must-see (after The Adventures of Robin Hood of course).
Tyrone Power is terrific as Don Diego/Zorro. The contrast in his characters is fun to watch and makes the sword fight at the end a big treat. A great movie; I wish they would get back into making these types of movies again.
